I have never for one day ever taken for granted the great honour and privilege of being the elected Mayor and leader of the Central Highlands.

Everything that I have ever aspired to and achieved has been from and because of the great opportunity that this region affords its residents and ratepayers. Its amazing diversity continues to give us chances to build and create and dream even when the world is not in a great place.

I didn’t get the chance to talk about my hopes for the next 4 years but I can assure everyone that my approach will always be the same. To think, to plan and to deliver. And to give it my best always.

We are blessed with many wonderful things and my philosophy is to build on them and to create the best possible future for our next generations.

Importantly in Local Government you need a group of like-minded Councillors to get the best results and your selection of that team is as important as ever.

Thank you for your confidence in me over the last 4 years. It has been the challenge that I expected but it has been the greatest pleasure.
